  1. An aptly titled film, Into the Night, is a mini series (6 episodes) that revolves around a plane trying to evade the sun in a world ending disaster. This show is in Belgian, French and some other European languages. Ignoring some crazy loopholes, this is fast pace and entertaining show that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Every time an episode ends, i feel like i need to watch the next episode to find out what happens. Besides the global disaster theme, the show also plays around the theme conflict a lot. From conflict between nationalities (eg. arabs to whites), to democracy vs autocratic decision making, to moral vigilantism, to science vs religion. The tension is palpable between the characters, some blatantly dislike each other but they have to band together to survive. There are an assortment of characters on board the flight but my favorite will have to be the mysterious Turk. Not an ideal time for this type of show to be screening but overall a great show to binge watch if you're stuck at home ;) I give this show 8/10
  2. This is a comedy about a groom (Anderson) to be waking up naked in an elevator on his wedding day. He can't really recall what happen or what led him to his predicament. Nonetheless he tries to make his way to the church for his wedding without getting arrested or beaten up. When the church bells ring, he will be transported back into the lift and the same scenario more or less repeat. So the plot of the movie is for him to get to church before the bells and figure out who screwed him. Don't ask me why he is transported back time and time again, the movie never explained. There is a sub plot where the father in law is not impressed by Anderson's lack of career and he have to win him over, as well as an ex that wants to undermine him in front of his gf. If you enjoy watching silly theme movies like scary movie, white chicks, scooby doo then this is the kind of flick for you. Otherwise can skip. Rating: 6/10
  3. This is a very hilarious movie about a major secret being uncovered by a pair of brothers during their dad's funeral. Chris Rock play the elder brother that is organizing the funeral while Martin Lawrence is the younger bro that is flying back for it. There are a lot of characters in the show, took me a while to know the relationships between the family members. In between the service by the reverend and eulogy by Chris Rock, a dwarf white guy (Peter Dinklage, Tyrion Lannister) appears and unveil a secret to the brothers causing mayhem. Zoe Saldana is their cousin who is bringing a white bf to the black family funeral and the bf accidentally took some drugs becoming high and wild. Danny Glover in wheelchair is their great uncle who is attending his nephew funeral literally kpkb the whole movie, abusing one fat black dude in almost every scene. This is a chill movie for holiday season if you're bored at home. Nothing taxing on the brain and its a simple straight forward movie. Rating: 4/5
