    Taiwan TV show host blames S Korea for Godfrey Gao death

    TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Taiwan TV entertainment star Jacky Wu (吳宗憲) said in an interview on Tuesday (Dec. 3) that South Koreans should be blamed for the recent passing of Canadian-Taiwanese actor Godfrey Gao (高以翔).

    Following Gao's death from a heart attack while filming Chinese TV show "Chase Me" last Wednesday (Nov. 27), an outraged public has called out Zhejiang Television for putting its contestants through extreme physical labor without providing enough rest. Fans have also raised questions about the legitimacy and safety of reality TV.

    On the set of New Year special "Popular New Year Condo 3.0" (大熱門過年公寓3.0), with comedians Ou Han-sheng (歐漢聲) and Hank Chen (陳漢典), Wu said he was in Shanghai when the tragic news broke. He claimed that South Korean reality TV shows are responsible for Gao's death since they provided bad examples for their Chinese re-makes, reported UDN.

    The variety show host said he was asked to climb thousands of stairs twice during a Chinese reality show, and he had to later communicate with the production team about boundaries. Wu proceeded to urge young celebrities to protect themselves and understand their own capabilities.

    Despite Wu's remarks against South Korea, Taiwanese Internet celebrity Chen Yee (陳沂) said in a Facebook post that Wu was afraid to criticize China and used South Korea as a scapegoat. Taiwanese netizens also pointed out that "Chase Me" was actually a revision of U.S. TV show "American Ninja Warrior," reported Liberty Times.

    i can see the synergy of such a deal.

     

    Anyway..Some of the sasa items not very popz even though they carry branded brands too. And the prices for some of the items are expensive.

    Also with popular brands now like Wishtrend and also the products from Olive Young, competition is there. As locals here had heard of them before and waited for them to be available in here

    True that. Like since the respond is positive on ig liao, with many people giving their reviews, a pop up store will make it even more popz.

     

    Or watson or guardian can bring it in. Like the recent Wishtrend and Olive young products. They having the Olive young event at Ion these few days

    i can see the profit of such a deal.

     

    if the buyer can successfully get other kois to promote the brand, the brand can really take off and managed properly, there will only be minimal price impact since the target is price-sensitive young ols and teenage girls.

     

    Babybright kinda new over here. It became popular due to a kpop star using it. Due to this popularity, this local store owner brought in and i think later have another store also brought in. Doubt it will be bought over by another company ?

     

    Oh i see.. I thought ur atbs like to use those super famous de like Shiseido or Sekkisei or those Korean brands?
