I trained with chinese weapons before (of course the display types, not the real ones, though I've handed real ones before), even mass production weapons each have their own characteristic. When you get a new weapon, the first thing you do after unboxing, is to test the weapon with a few basic drills, then adjust it to suit yourself. It's taboo to "borrow" other person's weapon without permission, as it will upset the person's tuning, unfamiliarity to the weapon could also hurt the borrower, seen it a few times personally.
