Japanese adult video (AV) actress Hana Kuraki has reportedly died at the age of 25.

According to reports, Kuraki was found dead in an apartment in Tokyo. News of her death was first reported by a Japanese social media account, with several people in the industry subsequently posting messages mourning her death.

Kuraki made her debut in 2024 and had gained popularity in the industry. As of the evening of Sept 13, her agency, Japanese police and the adult film companies she worked with had yet to officially announce her cause of death or provide full details of the case.

Following news of her death, reports about a relationship dispute involving Kuraki before her death have also resurfaced.

Online claims alleged that Kuraki had been in a relationship with male host Shota Taira (平良翔太), and that the pair had disputes involving their breakup, money and other personal matters.

In May this year, Kuraki was reportedly injured while chasing after a phone that had been taken away, suffering serious injuries to her face and chin. She later publicly shared details of her injuries and postponed activities marking the second anniversary of her debut. She also temporarily suspended some of her work.

More recently, alleged chat records and other materials said to be connected to Kuraki before her death have circulated online. The materials reportedly referred to financial pressure, concerns over her personal safety and alleged threats.

Those behind the allegations also named Taira and a related male host group, raising questions about how previous disputes involving Kuraki had been handled.

However, claims involving possible domestic violence, psychological control and financial exploitation remain largely based on online allegations and accounts from people connected to the matter.

The claims have not been confirmed by police investigations, and it remains unclear whether any of these allegations are connected to Kuraki’s death. Authorities have yet to officially disclose her cause of death or the full circumstances surrounding the case.
