Buy the latest Samsung S series if you want something familiar, not Asus

If you want iPhone, why going to buy it now - when the new iPhone 16 release is just round the corner?!

limpeh dont chase the latest tech, so always buy 1 generation behind to get best pricing

samsung s24, except ultra, use exynos but limpeh prefer to use snapdragon as limpeh noticed heating issues in my samsung s20 after 1 yr of usage

and if do price comparison, limpeh find that samsung s24 ultra is overpx

Liddat then wait for iPhone release and decide to buy rah. Exynos really jin sad - chews through battery. But think they got some of that worked out with teh latest Google Pixel phone

Both Samsung and iPhone should reduce the pricing of their previous year flagships after that.

I recently got the Nothing Phone 2a Plus (Mediatek mid-level processor) - works good with great battery life. But then .. I don't use the phone for much except checkign emails and some messaging - so a flagship wasted :s Wifu v happy with her 2 gen old iPhone

exynos not very friendly on the battery, limpeh's s20 now having slow charging issue liao but after 5 yrs of usage, limpeh cannot complain

limpeh also saw the nothing phone yesterday but didnt really go thru the specs, any issues such as overheating so far????

limpeh use the phone for work, so most important must have decent battery life+ display responsiveness+ display screen + processing speed+ space

camera not that important

Mine isthe $600 one. Xperia 10 iii

Me choose them cause sony phone  set the battery charge limit to 80%

When I first got it, the first 2 yr I charge only 3 times per week.

Now I charge 4 times per week

I don't do things that will cause over-heating in the first place. Like play games for hours, run benchmark apps, or record 4K beedio :s For general tasks, Nothing 2a Plus no issues. I plan to change in 3yrs - so the 3yr OS upgrade from Nothing is prolly fine. iPhone and higher end Nothing / Samsung phones have longer support cycles.

iPhone has a much better integrated experience though - and it just works. It would be a lot better if they fixed their notification nonsense, but that is something you can customise.

This one also good point - moi laptop battery charge limit set to 80 too - but phone don't have.

Also, use a regular slow phone charger instead of fast charger for better battery longevity

For Laptop what setting or software you use?

Oh ya @socrates469bc

Sony every 1 month or so, will do a full charge to check the battery lifespan but you can cancel battery check if u dont want, and I also use slow charger around 2hr. Me use the apple 1st charger, the 1A to slow slow charge. And always charge between 30% to 80%

For me 6++ is a pro, cause I dont game at all or sometime watch simple video so the 6++ use less power mean use less battery

Buy the new 10iv or 10vi. The battery life is lousy cause it use a newer SD which use a bit more power

Is a Lenovo laptop, so use Lenovo Vantage software to set the charge limit - it has thresholds in 5% increments from 75% to 100 I think .. Once you set, think it is stored somewhere in BIOS or nvram

Most laptop manufacturer got software to set battery limits for their devices
