2nd post then is gaming.

PS: even my gaming set  is aiming toward  mid high level game detail at high FPS (prefer above 100) running 1080p

if underclock why need cpu cooler...

the motherboard chip still need the heat to remove so the fan is there to move the air

my motherboard mosfet got heatsink that the most basic, dont get those motherboard mosfet without heatsink cause with fans also not enough

stock cannot draw out heat better then the cooler i choose. the heat will ended up trapping at CPU socket area, which mean spoil faster.

that why i choose the motherboard with plenty of build in heat sink, a normal cpu cooler (less then 500gram. anything over 500gram is too heavy for the board), so i can draw out as much heat from the casing as i can

i also budget but with durable in mind

I see but just personally wonder why need extra money for the heat sink.

draw out heat is casing? not heatsink ma.

if don't have to overclock, change heatsink doesn't justified

that heatsink about  $38. else cooler master  hyper H410R $29  (all less than 500gram including fan)

draw out heat is casing, but if the heatsink cannot draw out the sink fast enough for the casing(fan) to do the job, then it useless

but extra heatsink will cost extra power usage and extra money too.

huh?

heatsink just metal only. and i got my current noctua fan to replace the stock heatsink fan

my goal is to keep the temp low cause electronics hate heat... even i dont overclock, i have been keep my system temp low

if u planning going ryzen 5 and above, the stock cooler is more than capable to even slight overclock. I'm not familiar with ryzen 3 though. iirc the cooler is made by coolermaster

ryzen 3 got build in GPU, so i dont need to buy a gpu, ryzen 5 all dont have

main pc build is to suft web, watch video, upload and download, word, blur picture using gimp, just simple office stuff. so no need so better cpu

Guys which one will you choose?

@invis

@aaur4man

@stemcell

wich one for your main pc (as in you do everything with it except gaming) . and it seem like option A have what i needed but option B is like $70 to 100 cheaper.

what i hope to have:

more heatsink on the motherboard to help with cooling

intel Lan

optical out (for audio)

last as long as possible

Option A:

13-119-140-V07.jpg&key=e8356140711515345

ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING https://www.asus.com/sg/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/

$ 215

Option B:

Personally would never go with gaming motherboard for non gaming purposes

Plenty of mobos like in option b that are durable. Look out for full solid capacitors , multi phase power supply, multi layer pcb etc

the problem is option a got what i wanted, heatsink, intel lan and optical out. but option B is cheaper about $70-100 but does not have what i wanted
