Its the Ebisu festival in Osaka 9-11/Jan. Ebisu is the Japanese God of Fortune and many are celebrating and praying for good business. Had dinner with a Japanese friend in Benkay Restaurant in the hotel.

All drinks are being served in double-walled stainless steel vessels (http://susgallery.jp/en/). I went to the website checked these vessels don't come cheap.

Left is water and right is our Yamazaki double on the rocks, plate is grilled stingray

Not a big fan of fast food but once a while when on the road peddling my screws will stop by a gas station to eat and today don't know why decided on KFC.

He9TkW9.jpgSo far I think the Thai KFC make the most delicious fried chicken, just my personal opinion

yHLxsAo.jpgThai KFC also provide free flow soft drinks and free drinking water

lrBkiyH.jpgMy 4 pieces chicken costs only $4.70

Had a simple breakfast at a gas station noodle stall

A. Mallika is a very popular noodle chain which can be found in many malls and PTT gas station. A. Mallika is well known for pioneering yentafo noodle which is basically noodle soup with red fermented tofu. Most Thais live yentafo.

Typical A. Mallika shop, simple, retro, clean

My breakfast
E8X6Cnn.jpg

Broad rice noodle with fishballs, fish dumpling, tofu stuffed with fish meat, fish skin, wood ear fungus. Doesn't come cheap though 95 baht vs 40-50 baht normally

If you've been read g my posts you'll know I'm more of a Thai, Western and Japanese food lover. I guess due to a high number of westerners and Japanese expats here these food is good here in Bangkok. However last night I discovered a very good Korean restaurant, I hardly have Korean food as you can see.

Restaurant is at Sorabol
Sukhumvit Rd, Khwaeng Khlong Tan, Khet Khlong Toei, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10110, Thailand

If you notice my posts I hardly post anything about the southern haven Hua Hin. Well that's because to get to Hua Hin one has to drive through Rama 2 highway and then Petchaburi, now that because this "highway" is alway jam due to the road condition not as good as like driving to Pattaya where you have proper tollway. Anyway sometimes I still have to go there for work or some good reasons like Sunday where I had to go to Cha Am to attend the wedding. Colleagues brought me to a great restaurant known as Daeng Seafood at this location - https://goo.gl/maps/t1s7gpQdjPE2

Here's the restaurant and some food we ordered
