The colour-coded tiers, which are pegged to the Japanese yen, include Goods and Services Tax (GST) and range from S$2.14 to S$25.47.

The new price change table will take effect from May 1.

"We thank you for your understanding and continued support," it said in a Facebook post.

The chain, which operates 29 stores in Singapore, offers products such as stationery, food, homeware and clothes. Items under the Daiso label have long been available at a flat price of S$2 while products under its Threeppy brand vary in cost.

This latest update from Daiso Singapore comes after the retailer said earlier this month that it will start charging a 7 per cent GST on top of its S$2 price tag for its items.

Aliexpress is easier than Taobao, all the delivery charge calculated upfront. Taobao has more variety though.

I was assuming its the old alibaba version, where the old website is terrible!

Does it require buyers to have credit/cash in ali wallet?

I use sinking land CC, don't need to charge credit in their wallet, Aliexpress is targeted at foreign markets, so more convenient for foreigners than tiongs.

What about alibaba?

Alibaba is cheaper the aliexpress right?

Alibaba is cheaper for bunk orders, more  for retailers to buy from wholesalers, if you have that big a volume, yes.

How is shipping done? is it complicated?  All prearranged like shopee or must schedule "ship for me" like EZbuy?

Aliexpress is prearranged, usually for small items will be through singpost. I bought a mini pc before, came through DHL.

Don't need, just raise through the platform, they are painfully slow though.

Happy to share :)
