The_King Posted May 12, 2021 Share Posted May 12, 2021 SINGAPORE — A man was charged with stabbing his father on a pavement in the Commonwealth area on Wednesday (12 May). Prasanth Saravanam, 21, was handed one charge of stabbing Saravanan Tambosam, 41, on Monday at around 11.23pm at the pavement between Block 26 and Block 27 Ghim Moh Link with a sharp instrument. His charge constitutes causing hurt with a dangerous weapon. Prasanth will return to court on 1 June. In addition to his fresh charge, Prasanth has pending charges related to fraud. Left before police arrived On Monday, when the police arrived at the scene after being alerted of an alleged attack on the father, Prasanth had left. Saravanan was conveyed conscious to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that both supposedly had a dispute before the incident. Police officers established Prasanth's whereabouts via ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras. Prasanth was arrested within four hours of the incident being reported.
