all depend what your gfx and future gfx is.

just for games

is you buy less then 600 gfx then maybe a 1440p + high fps montior, asus or dell alienware

if your gfx planning to spend over 1.2k then get a 4k+ HDR mean get asus

just for casual games + video + content creation

is you buy less then 600 gfx then maybe a 1440p  +  look for those like g 100% sRGB, 100% Rec. 709 and 95% DCI-P3. DCI-P3  which dell have the best out of the box  color calibration, so you dont need spider

if your gfx planning to spend over 1.2k then get a 5k+ HDR 1000 + all the better spec like 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space: 99.8% DCI-P3i, 93% Adobe RGB and 83% BT.2020 etc.....

for me i divide into 2 system as it cheaper when my new home is ready

gaming i use less then 600 to 700 gfx with 1080p or 1440p ips with better fps( which ever cheaper have more eye candy)

for work, normal use etc...

i get dell 38inch ultrasharp ultrawide 5k monitor
